Singing lesson Schedule

Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, from 4:00pm to 9:00 pm.

  • Winter Session: January 7th – March 29th
  • Spring Session: April 1st – June 14th
  • Autumn Session: September 2nd – December 20th

If a student wishes to continue singing lessons over the summer, the day and time of the lesson will need to be adjusted based on the teacher’s and student’s availabilities. The lessons schedule can be modified; students will be warned two weeks in advance. Absenteeism No refund is possible if the student doesn’t show up. On the other hand, if you inform the teacher 24 hours in advance that you will be unable to attend the lesson, the teacher may offer you up to 2 re-schedules per session. Those re-schedules will be given outside of the regular lesson schedule, depending on the teacher’s and student’s availabilities. These re-schedules are not transferable from a session to another. During the year, the teacher may be away for shows (rarely during days reserved for teaching) occasionally. If this situation occurs, you can choose to get a refund or a re-schedule. The lesson begins and finishes at the agreed time. If the teacher is responsible for the delay, the lesson will be extended for the ”lost” time.

Payment Methods

  • The amount can be paid by cheque, in cash, or with Paypal (link to be provided), payable at the first lesson of the month, after your trial lesson.
  • 10 lesson Package, the amount can be paid in 1 or 2 payments (1st lesson or 1st and 4th lessons), in cash, by cheque (post-dated in the case of the 2nd cheque) or with Paypal (link to be provided).

Material Needed

The student must have a Canada-type notebook to take notes. Detailed breathing exercises and other printed exercises will be given to you in class. A folder will be useful. It is essential to bring the lyrics of the songs you would like to perform, from the beginning. Of course, ideally, you should know them by heart as quickly as possible. Lessons or exercises can be recorded in class, if the student would like. In those cases, students must bring a USB key to be able to benefit from the recording right away. The student must provide either the songs partition (piano) or soundtrack that they want to perform. An excellent soundtrack website (with adjustable songs up to 2 or 3 semitones, depending of the song) is www.karaoke-version.fr, which I highly recommend. Mics and speakers are provided in class.

Place : Epilogue Musique in the heart of the vibrant Quartier Latin of Montreal

The Berri-UQAM subway station is a five minute walk from the classroom. Epilogue Musique’s offices are located above the Commensal restaurant, 1726 St-Denis street, 4th floor, South of Ontario street. If the door is locked, please dial 0402, and when someone answers, you can go to the waiting room, where the singing teacher will meet you.
